Since 1670 the Negro family has been cultivating their vineyards in the hills of Roero.
The excellent exposure, the various soils and microclimates and the meticulous work in the vineyard and in the cellar give rise to wines that are very well defined and rich in character, appreciated and known throughout the world.

Since 1670 the Negro family has been cultivating their vineyards in the hills of Roero, working to increase the value of this wonderful corner of Piemonte. Dedicating their vines to the  prestigious native varietals such as Arneis, Dolcetto, Barbera, Nebbiolo, and Birbet. Today the estate spans over 60 hectares covering some of the most prestigious area in Roero.

The estate is lead by Giovanni Negro who also happens to by the Mayor of Monteu Roero.  His wife Marisa and children Gabriele, Angelo, Emanuela and Giuseppe all hold various positions and do everything from work in the vineyard to wine production and sales.  This is a true family production and has been for many years.  The attention to detail and the passion shows in each and every wine.  

Wines

MARIA ELISA ROSÈ

The Maria Elisa Rosé wine manages to be a structured and very elegant; Nebbiolo gives, in addition to tending to pink onion, a fragrance of wild berries and pink sandy soils typical of the Roero. The aftertaste is long, wide, wraparound and the character is unmistakable, typical of Nebbiolo.

Negro NICOLON

Intense red ruby with violet highlights.
Fragrance of cherry, musk, and blackberry.
Elegant and solid taste with good acidity.
Good structure with marked fruitiness and vanilla.
Suggested temperature of service 18° C

Riserva San Giorgio

Garnet red color.  Fresh and intense nose with hints of peach and red fruits, sometimes balsamic on the finish. The mouth, immediately fresh and pleasant, leaves room for the pulp which with its final sweetness accompanies the knowledge of a tannic texture of considerable importance and length.
